I would like to inform you that the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has decided to establish the Joint Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence (JAG-AI) as a joint coordination mechanism among INFCOM, SERCOM and RB, and other relevant WMO bodies. The JAG-AI will provide advice, oversight, coordination, and monitoring of WMO activities related to the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across the meteorological and hydrological value chain.

The primary focus of the JAG-AI will be to promote and accelerate the integration of AI into WMO infrastructure and research activities, supporting the advancement of weather, climate, hydrological, marine, and related environmental services.

In this context, HMEI is reaching out to invite expressions of interest from individuals who wish to participate in the HMEI Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence, which will support the work of the WMO JAG-AI. The Terms of Reference are available in the download link provided below.
